Chawton Park travelled to Watford to take on Kempston Park last Saturday in the Denny Plate quarter finals. Despite winning two of the four rinks, albeit very narrowly, Chawton Park lost by 83 shots to 54. Top rink was John Blair, Danny Brown, Reece Graham and Ashley Nethercliffe 16-14 winners. Kempston Park will now take on Folkestone in the semi final with the winners going on to contest the National final at Nottingham on the 28th March.

Also on Saturday our friendly team entertained Banister Park in a six rink mixed triples game. Chawton Park won four of the six rinks and overall by 121 shots to 90. Top rink was the trio of Charlie Spear, Angela Goman-Smith and Jim Bellis 42-2 winners.

On Sunday we returned to Wessex League duty with a fixture against Dolphin. In a welcome return to winning ways Chawton Park took the honours by 76 shots to 63 winning three of the four rinks and taking 14 of the 16 available points. Top rink was the home rink of Robert Hutchinson, Gary M Johnson, Reece Graham and Ashley Nethercliffe 27-8 winners.
