Wins in Denny & Friendly, Wessex Loss.

The Weekend saw two wins on Saturday and a loss on Sunday.

Saturday’s Denny Plate opponents Camberley were behind on all Four rinks when they conceded Saturday morning’s fixture with Chawton Park, who were ahead by 42 shots (73-31) at the concession. Top rink was the quartet of Reece Hutton, Gary M Johnson, Simon Greenwood and Gary Starks 23-7 winners. Chawton Park will play Victory in the next round on Saturday 6th December for a place in the Area 7 final.

Saturday afternoon’s friendly fixture saw Atherley visit Chawton Park. A dominant home performance saw the Home side win on all Six rinks and overall by 138 shots to 43. The standout winning rink was the trio of Derek Allwood, Jan Northwood and Howard Carpenter 33-1 winners.

On Sunday morning Chawton Park were unable to recreate the dominate performance of the previous day losing their opening Wessex League fixture against Palmerston by 69 shots to 59. Chawton Park’s sole winning rink was the home quartet of Bassa Smith, Dave Sims, Simon Greenwood and Gary Starks 22-11 winners.
