Last weekend saw Chawton Park in action twice against near neighbours Loddon Vale, on Saturday in the Denny Cup and Sunday in the Egham.
Saturday’s matchup was a Men’s game over four rinks, two at home and two away. Three of the Four rinks were close affairs with both clubs winning one, losing one and drawing one. It was ultimately the Fourth rink which settled matters in Chawton Parks favour with the quartet of Danny Brown, David Sims, Reece Graham and Ashley Nethercliffe winning 31-13 to pilot Chawton to an overall win by 83-67 and a next round game against Five Rivers on Saturday 31 October.
On Sunday the Egham clash was again Four Rinks two Home, two away but this time with two male and two females making up the rinks. This time Chawton won three of the four rinks and won overall 85-61. Top rink was Tina Chambers, Kate Fyfield, Simon Greenwood and Mark Fyfield 23-11 winners. Chawton Parks next opponents will again be Five Rivers on Sunday 1st November.
