Weekend Friendly Results

On Sunday 4th January the Weekend Friendly team took on Alton Social over Six mixed triples. In a very close match Alton Social got revenge for their loss back in November winning by 105 shots to 96. The closeness of the match is reflected in the count back of the scores at Seventeen ends (94 all). Top rink for Chawton Park was Jan Northwood, Chris Mace and Alex Brady 27-7 winners. Alton Social’s winning rink was Alex Hayward, Alice Atwell and David Cooper (All Chawton Park members) 25-10 winners.

On the 11th January we also entertained another outdoor club Oakley in a Six rink game. Chawton Park ultimately were too strong on the day winning all Six rinks and overall by 149-61. Congratulations to the winning rink Sue Webster, Flo Ward, Chris Mace and Howard Carpenter 33-3 victors. Special thanks to Flo, Chris and also Edwina Blakemore who came into the team at very short notice.
