Chawton Park beat Atherley on Saturday in the Bramley winning by 90 shots to 71 securing wins in three of the four rinks and taking nine of the ten points on offer. Top rink with a 33-9 win were the quartet of Dom Flannigan, Lewis Ferneyhough, James Shillingford and Gary Starks.

In Saturday’s Riversmeet fixture Chawton Park suffered a heavy defeat away to Loddon Vale by 30 shots to 72. Chawton Park had one winning rink of the three available with the four of Tina Chambers, Angie Knight, Flo Ward and Janet Williamson winning 18-10.

Chawton Park’s friendly team travelled to Victory on Saturday afternoon to play a six rink triples match. Victory won by 122 shots to 88 and by four rinks to two. Our two winning rinks were Marjorie Rowledge, Robert Hutchinson and John Warburton 19-16 winners and Jan Northwood, Alan Pascoe and Dave Goddard 21-18. One small consolation the away side had a clean sweep of the after match raffle. Good to see the side in form for Chawton Park’s big Christmas raffle. Tickets are still available ahead of the unveiling of this years prize winners which takes place this Friday 20th December.
