Treasurer /Finance Officer Role Opportunity

Are you good with Money?  Can you keep accurate detailed records? 

Do you want to play a key role in the future of the club? 

David Pennington will be standing down from his role as Treasurer in the near future and the Board are now looking to find someone to take on the handling of the Club’s finances on a day-to- day basis. This may be as Treasurer and a Board Member or as a Finance Officer reporting to a Board Director, depending on the individual, their wishes and availability. 

Who are we looking for? Well, someone who Ideally has previous experience of book-keeping and banking. While a background in finance or accounting is not imperative for this role, it is preferable to have someone who is experienced in managing accounts. Such roles are often filled by small business owners, accountants, and other professional people who manage or have managed money in their professional roles. 

Obviously, they will be numerate, organised, reliable, and accurate and able to plan ahead to ensure the club is financially stable in the short and longer term and will contribute to the future development of our club. 

• Previous experience of using Sage Accounting software package would be beneficial 

• Previous experience with salary and pension payments and HMRC returns would be ideal.
