Match Reports 14th/15th February

The Ladies Riversmeet Squad travelled to Banister Park on the 14th February and returned having bagged 8 of the 10 points on offer. Chawton Park won two of the three rinks to win narrowly overall by 53 shots to 50. Top rink was the quartet of Lesley Johnson, Kate Binfield, Sandy Crocker and Beryl Collier 28-8 winners.

On Sunday 15th we travelled to Horsham to play the London and Southern Counties Shield Quarter Final against Eastbourne & District IBC. The tie consisting of four rinks was all square at ten ends, at fifteen ends Chawton Park held a seven shot advantage. Unfortunately the last three ends saw Eastbourne totally turn the match around to secure a 67-58 win.

Sunday also saw our friendly side take on local opposition in Alton OBC. The match consisted of Six mixed triples. Chawton won four of the rinks and lost two to win overall by 119 shots to 75. Top rink was Angie Knight, Peter Foulkes and David Cooper 36-3 winners. Alton’s top rink was Tracy Bird, Graham De Neiderhausern and Gary C Johnson 24-12 winners.
