A good start to the season

Our under 30’s had a morale boosting win against near neighbour’s Loddon Vale on Saturday morning. The match was a two triple match up, one home and one away.

The Home rink of Mollie Brand, Reece Hutton and Reece Graham flew into an early lead but were pegged back by the Loddon Vale trio with the lead changing hands several times in the closing ends with Chawton Park finally running out 20-18 winners.

Meanwhile, the match at Loddon Vale followed a similar pattern in the early stages with the Chawton Park triple of Oskar Olejarka, Danny Brown and Ashley Nethercliffe opening out a 10 shot lead that they managed to hold onto pretty much all game. Finally running out winners by 22 shots to 11. Giving an aggregate score of 42-29.

Special mention must go to Mollie Brand who made her competitive debut for the club and made a great impression.

On Saturday Afternoon we entertained the Hampshire Patrons led by president Nigel Bechelet in a Six rink Friendly. Both sides managed to win three rinks each but the overall honours went to Chawton Park by 118 shots to 91.

The winning rink was David Cooper, Alex Hayward, Simon Greenwood and Reece Graham 34-8 winners.
