Weekend Result Round-Up

Chawton Park had three teams in action at the weekend. Our ladies hosted Banister Park in the Riversmeet League on Saturday and won all three rinks and overall by 56-35 with two points for a winning rink and four points for the overall win secured a maximum 10 point return. With all three rinks close, top rink with a 19-11 win was the quartet of Kate Binfield, Jacqui Bowles, Naomi Brady and skip Janet Williamson.

Also on Saturday Banister Park reversed the result in the London and Southern Counties Shield game. With two rinks at home and two away Chawton Park were only able to win one rink at home and tie one away and lost by 70 shots to 55. The winning rink was Tina Chambers, Dom Flannigan, Harry Hutchings and skip Gary Starks.

On Sunday Chawton Park entertained Parkside in a Friendly consisting of six triples. Chawton Park returned to winning ways winning 5 rinks and tying the 6th and overall by 121 shots to 69. Top rink with a 24-7 victory was the trio of Len Holton, Angie Knight and Howard Carpenter.
