Results Round Up

Chawton Park Ladies hosted Five Rivers (Salisbury) in the Riversmeet league on Saturday Morning. Spearheaded by the top rink of Kate Fyfield, Patricia Brooks, Naomi Brady and Janet Williamson 29-8 winners. With both the other two rinks securing wins 27-9 and 18-14 respectively Chawton Park took the maximum 10 points on offer.

In the Weekend’s other fixture Chawton Park took on Alton on Sunday afternoon in a friendly. The format being six rinks of mixed triples. It was a close game in terms of winning rinks with each side winning three match ups each. However Chawton Park were able to keep their losses close with two rinks losing by two shots and one rink by a single shot. With large wins obtained by the three winning Chawton Park rinks the home side ran out winners by 33 shots at 116-83. Top rink was Thelma Thomas, Howard Carpenter and Mehdi Akkouh 28-12 winners.
